Major Lazer is back with another global anthem.

The Diplo-led dance music collective has officially released its highly anticipated new single, “pAPi wiTH tOKisCha,” featuring Dominican superstar Tokischa. Accompanied by a high-energy music video, the collaboration arrives as Major Lazer continues its return to the international stage after its first extensive tour in seven years.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release after the group teased the track during performances around the world, including an intimate pop-up show in an abandoned Miami lot for just 200 fans. Tokischa made surprise appearances during Major Lazer’s headline sets at Ultra Music Festival and Coachella, where the duo debuted the song live in front of tens of thousands of fans.

The official music video captures the same electrifying energy that has made the collaboration one of the year’s most anticipated dance releases. Directed by Cambron Lyles and Alex Ferzan, the visual blends footage from the Miami pop-up with scenes filmed in the California desert during Coachella weekend.

The release comes during a milestone year for Major Lazer. In addition to headlining major festivals including Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Osheaga, and Pukkelpop, the group has also performed on some of the world’s biggest stages.

Earlier this year, Major Lazer delivered a featured performance during the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. The group also collaborated with Nelly Furtado and Davido on “No Place Like Home, one of the official songs celebrating the 2026 FIFA World Cup, performing it live during the tournament’s Countdown Concert in Los Angeles.

“pAPi wiTH tOKisCha” follows the success of Major Lazer’s 2025 mixtape, GYALGEBRA, which introduced the group’s newest member, America Foster. The project featured collaborations with Parris Goebel, SadBoi, Bunji Garlin, and several other artists while marking a new era for the globally recognized collective.

Founded by Diplo, Major Lazer has remained one of dance music’s most influential acts, with longtime members Walshy Fire and Ape Drums continuing to push the group’s signature sound alongside Foster. Throughout its career, the group has delivered massive hits including “Lean On,” “Cold Water,” and “Light It Up,” while collaborating with artists such as Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Burna Boy, WizKid, J Balvin, Travis Scott, and El Alfa.

With “pAPi wiTH tOKisCha,” Major Lazer once again proves why it remains one of the most exciting and innovative forces in global music.
