If you’re visiting Atlanta, one attraction that should be on your list is the Georgia Aquarium.

I’ve visited more than once, and each trip has been a completely different experience. While tickets can be a little pricey, I genuinely believe it’s one of those places you should experience at least once.

One thing many people don’t know is that Georgia residents can visit for free on their birthday with a valid ID, making it a great birthday activity if you’re local.

During one visit, I spent most of my time watching the otters. On another trip, I finally experienced the dolphin show, and it quickly became one of my favorite parts of the aquarium.

If you’re planning to attend the dolphin show, pay attention to the seating sections. The front rows are designated as the splash zone, and yes, you will get wet. The dolphins create plenty of excitement and water splashes throughout the show, so sit further back if you’d rather stay dry.

The aquarium is home to an incredible variety of marine life, including sharks, jellyfish, starfish, whales, and many other sea creatures. Every exhibit feels immersive and gives visitors a chance to see animals they may never encounter elsewhere.

Whether you’re visiting Atlanta for the first time or looking for a family-friendly attraction, the Georgia Aquarium delivers an experience that is both entertaining and educational.
