Detroit rapper Skilla Baby is back with a new anthem for hustlers everywhere. His latest single, “GYSM” — short for “get you some money” — is officially out now through Geffen Records.

Built around a flipped sample of Jesse Powell’s 1996 song “You,” the track blends nostalgic R&B sounds with modern rap production filled with booming bass, smooth melodies, and catchy hooks.

On the song, Skilla Baby delivers motivational bars focused on hustling, success, and getting money while encouraging listeners to stay focused and motivated. The single was produced by an impressive lineup including Courtlin Jabrae, Rance, Kid Hazel, Warryn Campbell, and more.

The official music video, directed by KZA, takes a creative approach by showing Skilla Baby working different everyday jobs including a construction worker, office employee, janitor, and delivery driver. The visual highlights the grind and work ethic behind success while adding humor throughout the scenes.

“GYSM” follows the release of “West to East” featuring 42 Dugg and continues building momentum for the Detroit rapper after a strong run of collaborations and performances over the past year.

Recently, Skilla Baby has appeared on songs with artists including DDG, Finesse2Tymes, and EmanuelDaProphet while also teaming up with Detroit singer Ebony Riley for “You Better Know.”

The rapper also continues gaining recognition following projects like Crack Music 3 and The Coldest, helping establish him as one of Detroit’s rising voices in hip-hop.

This summer, Skilla Baby will perform in cities including Atlanta, Phoenix, Detroit, and Sacramento alongside artists like Babyface Ray, 42 Dugg, and G Herbo.

With “GYSM,” Skilla Baby continues showing why he is one of the most exciting artists coming out of Detroit right now.
