The FLAG Art Foundation has officially joined Alchemy with Anthony Mason as the series’ founding sponsor ahead of its debut on May 6.

Hosted by Anthony Mason, Alchemy is a new interview series that takes a deeper look into the creative process and how artists turn life experiences into meaningful art. The show features personal 45-minute conversations with major artists and cultural figures including Hozier, Paul Simon, Nile Rodgers, Violet Grohl, and Taj Mahal.
Presented by The FLAG Art Foundation, the partnership highlights a shared mission centered around creativity, storytelling, and artistic expression.
Founded in 2008, The FLAG Art Foundation has become a respected nonprofit art space in New York City’s Chelsea Arts District. Over the years, the organization has hosted more than 100 exhibitions featuring nearly 1,000 artists while remaining free and open to the public.
“Alchemy is about transformation — the invisible process behind creative work,” Mason shared. “FLAG shares that same belief in the power of art to reveal something deeper.”
Unlike traditional sponsorships, this collaboration is designed to feel intentional and connected to the artistic themes of the series. Each episode will connect viewers to the larger world of contemporary art and cultural conversation.
The partnership will also spotlight major exhibitions including Ellsworth Kelly: Eight Decades at the Parrish Art Museum and the reopening of the David Geffen Galleries at Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).
Filmed inside Mason’s New York living room, Alchemy creates an intimate setting where artists can openly discuss creativity, growth, and personal experiences. The series aims to give audiences a slower, more thoughtful viewing experience focused on reflection and artistic impact.
Alchemy with Anthony Mason is now available on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
