Legendary UK synth-pop group Bronski Beat is celebrating 40 years of their album Truthdare Doubledare with a brand-new remastered and expanded release arriving July 3.
For the first time ever, fans will be able to enjoy the album in several formats including digital, CD, 3CD deluxe edition, vinyl LP, and a special picture disc. The anniversary edition also includes rare studio sessions, live recordings, remixes, and previously unreleased music.

Fans can already listen to the new rework of “Hit That Perfect Beat” by I. JORDAN, which gives the classic song a fresh dance-floor sound while still honoring the original version.
Originally released in 1986, Truthdare Doubledare marked a new chapter for Bronski Beat after lead singer Jimmy Somerville left the group. Remaining members Steve Bronski and Larry Steinbachek teamed up with new vocalist John Jøn Foster, leading to the creation of the hit single “Hit That Perfect Beat.”
The song quickly became one of the group’s biggest hits, reaching No. 3 on the UK charts and becoming a favorite in clubs across Europe. Other standout tracks on the album include “C’Mon! C’Mon!,” “This Heart,” and “Dr. John.”
The new anniversary collection gives longtime fans a deeper look into the making of the album with demo recordings, BBC sessions, extended mixes, and special remastered tracks.
The 40th Anniversary Edition of Truthdare Doubledare will officially be released on July 3 and is now available for pre-order.
